This item is part of a series of photographs donated by the Bass family. The photographs include images from 1931 through 1933 as the Bass property was being developed. These images provide a valuable look at the Bass property as the buildings and structures went up that would become the Bass Biological Laboratory. Also included in these photographs are rare images of local workers, friends of the Bass family, and visitors to the area. The woman in this image is likely Ellen Jensen, Else Bass' mother, the child is John Bass III (Johnny), and the dog likely either 'Imp' or 'Joke.' A truck, likely a moving truck, appears on the left side of the image. |
