Abstract:
This report describes a study assessing the presence, distribution and abundance of benthic macroinvertebrates within the Deer Park wetlands area located in Pasco County, Florida. The study area, more specifically, is composed of three wetland cells and the Pithlachascotee River. Organism samples collected were either infauna or epifauna. A botanical inventory of the area also took place. Environmental sampling was conducted on a quarterly basis beginning in February 1990 with subsequent collections made in April, July and October. Results of the study is described.
