dc.description.abstract This report describes three years of a program designed to investigate the toxicity of oil and oil dispersants to a variety of marine organisms of interest to the state of Florida. The first year of the project was primarily concerned with design and set-up of a flow-through toxicity test system, and testing the system on two standard Environmental Protection Agency test species, Mysidopsis bahia and Menidia beryllina. The second year of the project expanded the toxicity testing of the two species, and extended these studies to the redfish, Sciaenops ocellatus. The third year of the project examined the toxicity of weathered Venezuelan Crude oil on the two standard EPA test species. In this report, data are presented on tests carried out in flow-through and static test chambers using Venezuelan Crude Oil, Prudhoe Bay Crude Oil, and Corexit 9500 on two standard EPA test species, and on the redfish. en
