Abstract:
This item is part of a series of operational records from the Zoological Research Supply Company, including reports from sales representatives on meetings with customers, information on acquiring, preserving, and shipping specimens, and related records, such as correspondence. The ZRS served as the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory, and operated in the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. This series of notes regarding the sales division is in the form of a letter to the ZRS. The item includes impressions, suggestions, and ideas for improving sales, such as emphasizing credit ratings, offering quotes, tailoring and timing form letters, and increasing publicity in the west.
