| dc.description.abstract | This item is part of a series of operational records from the Zoological Research Supply Company, including reports from sales representatives on meetings with customers and related records, such as correspondence. The ZRS served as the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory, and operated in the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. This letter is addressed to M. E. Whitney of Central Normal College, Indiana, and discusses a request for specimen samples. The College was later known as Canterbury College for a time, and has since served a number of educational needs under different names. | en |

Zoological Research Supply Company Papers
The Zoological Research Supply Company was the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory. The activities of both the Laboratory and the Zoological Research Supply Company were closely intertwined. The records in this collection derive from the operations of the ZRS, which supplied specimens to schools and laboratories throughout the country.
