Abstract

This investigation was undertaken to establish the most efficient sorbent or sorbent mixture for use in an in situ sampler to recover organic components entering seawater from oil and gas drilling operations. Phase I consisted of a thorough review and evaluation of pertinent literature and personal contacts with experts in the field, from which recommendations for the Phase II proposed evaluation procedures were prepared.
