This item is part of a series of materials relating to a publication called the "Englewood Trade Wind," which was produced and distributed by the Zoological Research Supply Company (ZRS). The ZRS served as the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory, and operated in the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. The Englewood Trade Wind publication featured articles of local and biological interest as well as pricing and descriptions for various products sold by the ZRS. The publication ceased in the early 1940s. This issue includes information on the species available for purchase, and several articles such as "Low rainfall and frogs," "A new method of culturing Amoeba," and "The care and feeding of seahorses." Other articles include "Living marine invertebrates for class study," "Grimmer to Army," "Living fresh-water invertebrates and protozoa cultures," and "Spiders, treefrogs make good bathroom pets." |
