This item is part of a series of materials relating to a publication called the "Englewood Trade Wind," which was produced and distributed by the Zoological Research Supply Company (ZRS). The ZRS served as the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory, and operated in the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. The Englewood Trade Wind publication featured articles of local and biological interest as well as pricing and descriptions for various products sold by the ZRS. The publication ceased in the early 1940s. This issue discusses terrarium and freshwater aquarium sets and the various specimens available for purchase. The content discusses which species are included in each set, pricing for items by set and individually, and the kind of care the specimens need. This particular issue came out as a supplement to issue number 1, September, 1940. |
