Abstract:
This report describes a project where seagrass beds with hypoxia problems were mapped after three months of continuous dissolved oxygen monitoring at various sites throughout Sarasota Bay, Florida from July through October 1993. The hypoxia monitoring and the resulting maps indicate that a large fraction of the bay's seagrasses undergo mild to severe hypoxia on a daily basis from July through September.
