Abstract:
This report describes a project conducted by Mote Marine Laboratory's (MML's) Fish Stock Enhancement Program. There were three primary areas of research: 1) the monitoring of Florida Marine Research Institute hatchery-produced red drum in Sarasota Bay, release of additional red drum, monitoring the study area, and analysis of the gut content; 2) studies of red grouper, including the monitoring of hormone levels, improving diet and laboratory maintenance, documenting parasites and gonad development on wild caught fish, and providing a grouper bibliography; 3) the study of snook, including diet experiment preparations, culture of phytoplankton, and acquired supplies to conduct experiments.
