dc.description.abstract This report is a compilation of existing data and other information available on the St. Lucie Estuary in Florida. This research was done in preparation of studies to be conducted by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) to determine the current nutrient dynamics in the St. Lucie Estuary including the impacts of nutrient loading and the eutrophication state of the estuary, in order to establish nutrient loading limits. The data was collected from the SFWMD's library holdings and data management personnel as well as through literature retrievals. Information from the Environmental Protection Agency's databases was gathered and other agencies, programs, education and research institutions, contractors and interest groups were contacted as well in order to collect information on any projects completed or ongoing in this area. en
