Abstract:
This report describes a project that was undertaken to assess the impact of abate (temephos) and altosid (methroprene) on larvae of nontarget saltmarsh organisms. This project encompasses a 16 month period from July 1, 1990, to October 31, 1991 with seven field applications of temphos being monitored in the St. Jude saltmarsh on Pine Island in Florida. The major focus was to assess the acute and sublethal toxicity of temephos to larvae of key indicator organisms. The results of the study are described.
