dc.description.abstract |
This report describes the results of the first year of a Stock Enhancement Efficiency Study of red drum in Bishop Harbor, Tampa Bay, conducted from June 10, 1991 through April 30, 1992. This study was conducted by Mote Marine Lab in cooperation with the Florida Marine Research Institute (FMRI). Bishop Harbor, a large natural embayment with variable habitat, was selected as a location where enhancement in a larger system could be addressed. Red drum marked with coded wire tags were selected by FMRI as the test organisms for determination of stock enhancement success. The FMRI Stock Enhancement Research Facility (SERF) personnel were responsible for rearing red drum to the phase II stage for release. |
