Abstract:
This manual was developed as a practical guide for scientists, students,
and park managers who need to describe coral reefs or document changes in
them over time. Although no book can substitute for a hands-on training program
or on-site assistance from someone experienced in the technique you
want to learn, the need for coral reef monitoring is urgent and the number of
“experts” is still small. Many of those who need to begin a coral reef monitoring
program have little choice but to get started on their own.
