Abstract:
This is the final report of a project covering the period of data collection beginning November 1987 and ending December 31, 1988. This study was undertaken as part of an attempt to understand the migration and stock identity of the king and Spanish mackerel, in the Gulf of Mexico. The goals were to report historical landings data and other pertinent information, to obtain specimens for electrophoresis, and to tag king and Spanish mackerel at specific Mexico locations. This report outlines Mote Marine Laboratory's efforts and success in achieving the above-mentioned goals.
