dc.description.abstract At least one stranding occurred in each of the first 7 months of 1987. The months of greatest stranding activity (three stranding events) were February, April and November. Largest numbers of strandings were located on Longboat Key and Holmes Beach( four and three strandings respectively ). All strandings were bottlenose dolphins. en
